hi I'm Beth Munoz Fricke from tasty
yummies and today we're making my lemon
garlic black pepper shrimp this is one
of our favorite weeknight meals because
it's ready in about 10 minutes and it's
loaded with so much flavor so let's get
started on one of my favorite recipes
that I think you guys are gonna love too
we're gonna start with a medium high
heat I like my cast iron pan because it
really holds the heat and it's nice and
even and we're gonna do about two
tablespoons of olive oil and just let
this come up to heat while the pan is
heating we're gonna prep our shrimp
we've got already Dee shelled and
deveined tail on wild-caught shrimp it's
been patted dry with a paper towel to
avoid excess moisture and we're just
going to add some salt and pepper
[Music]
so we're gonna add the shrimp right to
the medium-high pan we're gonna get a
nice sizzle and they're only gonna cook
maximum about three minutes SuperDuper
quick
don't walk away you don't want to
overcook them and we're gonna pull them
right out and put them on a plate and
continue making our sauce
[Music]
[Music]
so we're going to go ahead and remove
the shrimp from the pan it may look
slightly undercooked to you but that's
good because we're going to add it back
to the pan with the sauce and we don't
want it to be dry or rubbery shrimp
because nobody likes that and now we're
going to move into making the lemon
garlic black pepper sauce
so now we're gonna add the chopped
garlic and there is a lot of it to the
pan and then we have very coarsely
ground black pepper corns you can use a
regular black pepper mill but I like to
grind mine by hand to keep them nice and
coarse and those are gonna go in as well
so we have the garlic in the pan with
the coarsely ground black pepper and you
really want to watch the garlic we don't
want it to brown or burn or it'll taste
bitter it literally gets about a minute
max and keep it moving so once your
garlic and your black pepper corns are
super aromatic you're going to add your
chicken stock where that right in you
can also use veggie stock here we're
gonna left one lemon and we're also
going to take the juice of one lemon as
well
and now you're just going to give the
sauce a couple of minutes to reduce by
about half
so next we're gonna add four tablespoons
of a good quality grass-fed butter one
at a time and that's gonna thicken and
rich in the sauce and as that last pot
of butter is melting into your sauce
we're gonna go ahead and add our shrimp
right back into the pan give them that
last little minute to heat through get
all the sauce mixed in
[Music]
we're gonna turn off the heat to stop
those shrimp from cooking and now we're
going to add in some freshly chopped
parsley and that is it I told you so
easy
we like ours right over zucchini noodles
and make sure you get all that saucy
goodness in there as well
[Music]
and there you have it super easy simple
ten minute weeknight meal that will
impress the pants off your family for
