folks Philly boy J back here with
another video in a day I'm gonna be
showing you guys how to make jumbo five
shrimp here I have a big bag of shrimp
what you're gonna do is you're gonna get
a big bowl and you're gonna place the
bag of shrimp into the bowl I like the
clean my shrimp before I cook it just to
remove any residue that was left on the
shrimp you wanna fill the bowl up with
water and you're gonna add about one
tablespoon of salt and you're going to
allow your shrimp to sit in this
saltwater solution for about a good half
an hour just to make sure that it's
clean you're gonna get a bowl and to the
bowl you're gonna add some breadcrumbs
you're only gonna need about a half a
cup of breadcrumbs that should do the
job that should be enough so add about
1/2 a cup of breadcrumbs to the bowl
next month I'll be showing you guys how
to make fried shrimp using panko
breadcrumbs but today we're just using
regular breadcrumbs you're gonna get
another Bowl and to that bowl we're
going to create our egg wash and you're
gonna add two eggs to this bowl add two
eggs to the bowl and you're gonna give
that a stir beat the eggs up batter them
up and then we're going to add to the
batter eggs is some milk so add about
1/4 cup of milk that should be enough
and then you're going to give that a
stir
okay now what we're going to do is we're
going to be dipping the shrimp into this
flower here that's 3/4 cups of flour and
we're going to dip it into the egg wash
and then we're going to dip it into the
bread crumbs the bread crumbs is gonna
be the final coating but we want to
season this flour first so you're gonna
season it with about a tablespoon of
black pepper and about two tablespoons
of seasoning salt okay and then we're
going to blend the season into the flour
this is what's going to give our shrimp
some taste alright so here we have our
shrimp they've been soaking for a little
while now we're gonna rinse that water
off we're gonna get ready to coat these
bad boys all right let's them off really
really well and there they go looking
nice and fresh and clean so fresh
they're so clean cleaning is so fresh
and so clean clean look at them they're
great now but when you cook them they're
gonna turn orange alright
that's actually how you know the shrimp
are done so we're going to coat our
first in a seasoned flour
kocha shrimp in the seasoned flour and
like I said the season in the flour is
what's going to give the shrimp taste if
you don't add any seasoning is not going
to taste like anything okay so we're
gonna do is we're gonna coat all of our
shrimp in the flour and make sure that
is well coated
okay the way you see there
and then what you're gonna do is you're
gonna shake off the excess flour then
you're gonna dip it into your a milk
mixture your egg wash okay
then you're going to allow the assets
egg wash to drain and then you're going
to coat it in bread crumbs which is
gonna be your final coating make sure
it's well coated okay then you wanna
shake off the assets bread crumbs and
then what we're gonna do is we're gonna
sit the shrimp aside okay yeah that's
pretty much it that's the way it should
look like that right there
that's the way you look right there then
you're gonna set it aside so let's take
you to the step one more time you're
gonna get your coated shrimp after you
coat it with flour you're gonna dip it
into the egg wash bring that SS egg off
of the shrimp and then you're gonna dip
it into the bread crumbs and then shake
off the excess breadcrumbs and then
you're going to set it aside now you
want to allow the shrimp to sit in the
coating for at least 10 minutes just to
make sure that it's well coated so that
once you place them into the frying pan
the coating don't come off okay I told
you guys that when I made my fried
chicken and fried pork chops whenever
you call any type of meat you want to
allow it to sit in the coating for a
while just to ensure that the coating
sticks to the meat you're gonna get a
frying pan you're gonna place it over
medium heat and you're gonna add about
1/2 a cup of you and you're gonna let it
get popped for about five minutes and
then after five minutes you're going to
add your shrimp you only want to cook
about six shrimp at a time okay don't
add any more than six crimps or frying
pan at a time unless you have a really
really really big deep frying pan all
right you want to make sure that you
give them
face you don't want to flutter them
snapping you want to do is clutter them
okay and then once the tail turns orange
that's when you know they done and once
it's like this nice quarter Brown look
at that you got to get a plate in a
paper towel and you're gonna place the
shrimp onto the paper towel and allow
the or you to drain you wanna drain or
you okay but look at those look at those
shine like I said next month I'm gonna
be showing you guys how to me
shrimp me with panko breadcrumbs that's
a better look
has more professional look as well okay
so we're gonna do is we're gonna add
another batch of shrimp what I do is I
usually add six shrimps per batch no
more than about six okay when that
clutter together too closely it takes
them longer to fry and you don't want it
to stick together so just make sure that
you add six shrimp per batch and make
sure they're separated on the right so
that they fry correctly but look at
those shrimp when they get nice and
golden brown like that and you see that
the tail was orange that means those bad
boys are done look at them and that's
our last batch right there so Lance
patches front this front came out
absolutely delicious Philly boy Jay
makes some bully wooly bully wooly bully
good shrimp and sometime I add more
seasonings like onion powder and a
little bit of garlic powder
you could add whatever seasoning you
want you like your shrimp to be on the
hotter side you can even go ahead and
add like a little bit of cayenne pepper
okay but I like to eat my shrimp with
sriracha sauce
so that's why I don't put any cayenne
pepper in the kisser Roger everybody
know that's really really hot okay but
that's our shrimp look at them nice and
golden brown and crispy look at them I'm
just gonna let them sit on a paper towel
to drain the or you okay good old shrimp
some good old shrimp good old-fashioned
fried jumbo shrimp right folks so that's
the way I played it them they look
really really nice we're gonna put the
sriracha sauce in the middle and I want
to eat these bad boys and I'm gonna get
back with you guys later
